2024 GMC Yukon Denali Release Date, Redesign, Price

2024 GMC Yukon Denali Release Date, Redesign, Price – There is a reason why people prefer the GMC Yukon over its corporate cousins, the Chevrolet Tahoe and Cadillac Escalade. The Yukon has long been General Motors’ ideal full-size SUV. The Tahoe may be too plain vanilla for some, while the Escalade may have too much shine. The Yukon combines the optimum blend of elegance and quality stature without being overbearing. As with those two SUVs, the Yukon is offered in an extended-length model designated the Yukon XL, which is basically a more pricey Chevy Suburban and a less expensive Escalade ESV.

Our week-long tester featured a fully loaded 2024 GMC Yukon 4WD AT4 standard length, along with the optional 6.2-liter EcoTec V8 engine with 420 horsepower. This engine has the most power of the three possible engines, which include a 277-hp turbo-diesel and a 355-hp 5.3-liter V8, although AT4 models lack the torquey diesel.

For the 2024 model year, the 2024 GMC Yukon series will sport a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The interior technology has been enhanced as well, with a new Connected Infotainment System designed in conjunction with Google, and the premium Denali now comes standard with the formerly optional power-sliding center console. The only modification on the exterior is the addition of Redwood Metallic to the color pallet. This year, the AT4 model adds a bigger 6.2-liter V8 engine as an option. The entry-level model comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, but the rest of the cars in the series have bigger 20-inch wheels.

Red recovery hooks and a performance front skid plate are standard on the rugged AT4. The Denali comes standard with a panoramic power sunroof, which is also available on the majority of other trim levels, including our AT4 tester. Additionally, the Denali boasts glossy chrome bodyside moldings and a unique grille. The Yukon AT4, in particular, has a highly beautiful outward appearance. Satin Steel Metallic is a color that costs $495. The $8,650 AT4 Premium Plus Package adds power-retractable assistance steps with cool LED lighting around the perimeter, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and adaptive air suspension to the car.

Interior

GMC has worked carefully to lift the new Yukon above not just its predecessor, but also its competitors, as is clear upon going into the cabin. It’s incredibly spacious, and even grownups in the third row will feel at peace. While the materials are mostly adequate, it’s worth noting that the costly Denali has been further a distinctive interior design and a concentration on premium materials. All 2024 variants now incorporate a digital gauge cluster, which is pretty amazing. Even the standard Yukon gets power-adjustable front seats and tri-zone automatic climate control, while the fully loaded Denali adds a power-adjustable steering column, a 15-inch color head-up display, and a 14-speaker Bose sound system.

The Jet Black leather seats contrast wonderfully with the Satin Steel exterior. Rear-seat passengers benefited from a media system composed of two rear-mounted 12.6-inch color LCD touchscreens affixed to the driver and front passenger seats as part of our AT4’s expensive Premium Plus Package. On road trips, engaging both youngsters and adults. The GMC’s interior is big in general, but not every row is equal. Our passengers loved the heated bucket seats in the second row, which, for an extra $370, offer a power-release mechanism that enables them to fold at the press of a button.

Engine

Rather than reducing and forcing induction, GMC selected natural aspiration and pure displacement for the pair of V8 engines. These engine are well-known as they are also utilized in the Chevrolet Tahoe. The smaller 5.3-liter V8 delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque, but only at 4,100 rpm. The 6.2-liter V8 produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, giving it a considerable edge off the mark and while passing at greater speeds. The 3.0-liter turbocharged Duramax inline-six engine makes just 277 horsepower, but it is all about the 460 lb-ft of torque delivered at just 1,500 rpm.

Regardless of engine type, every Yukon comes standard with a ten-speed automatic transmission that is both smooth and decisive. As opposed to the six-speeder employed in the previous generation Yukon, this gearbox makes significantly better use of the smaller V8’s lower outputs. Unfortunately, the AT4 cannot be installed with the oil burner, which is likely the best engine for this trim owing to the torque being accessible early in the rpm range.
